Step 1: Go in-store and pick up your SPAR Rewards card.

Step 2: Follow the prompts on the back of the card to instantly activate your new card.

Activate your card in one of the following ways:

Online: Sign into http://me.spar.co.za and click the “My Account” tab and then click on the “My SPAR Card” icon. Follow the on-screen instructions to activate your new SPAR Rewards Card.

App: Download the Android SPAR SA App or the iOS SPAR SA App and click the “My Account” tab, and then the “My Rewards Card” menu option. Follow the on-screen instructions to activate your new SPAR Rewards Card.

USSD: Dial *120*7070*CARDNUMBER# and follow the on-screen instructions to activate your new SPAR Rewards Card.

WhatsApp: Add SPAR as a WhatsApp contact using the number 0860 313 141. Send ‘Hi’ and then follow the prompts to activate your Rewards Card.

QR Code: Scan the QR code at the back of your new Rewards Card. It will direct you to http://me.spar.co.za, follow the prompts to register and activate your Rewards Card.

Simply grab a new SPAR Rewards card in store and activate it. Activating a new card will automatically deactivate your old card.

Definitely! If you find yourself in store without your SPAR Rewards card simply log onto your SPAR SA App., Click the “My Account” tab, then click on “My SPAR Rewards Card” to access your virtual SPAR Rewards Card which you can scan at the till.

Only one SPAR Rewards card can be associated with your profile.

You can still register for SPAR Rewards. We offer the option of entering enter either a South African ID number or a valid passport number along with your date of birth.

No, SPAR would never request your banking details.

If you did not receive a discount for a purchase, please check the following: Verify that you are registered for SPAR Rewards. Dial *120*7070# on your mobile phone. If you are immediately presented with the main menu to View Rewards, then you are registered.

If you used a card to redeem, please ensure the card is linked to your account. Follow the instructions under How do I activate my SPAR Rewards card to verify the card you used is active and linked to your account.

Double check that the products you expected to receive the discount on are available. Ensure that you have not exceeded the maximum purchase limit for each product related to the Reward as indicated on the promotion details.

If you are sure you wish to deactivate your account, you can use any of the methods outlined below. Any active SPAR Rewards card will be automatically deactivated too. Note you can register again at any time, but your previous account history will be lost.

Dial *120*7070# from your phone and select Option 3 (Update Details) and then Option 3 (Deactivate Account). Follow the on-screen instructions.

Online: Sign into http://me.spar.co.za and then click the “My Account” tab and then the “My Settings” icon. Follow the on-screen instructions to deactivate your account.

SPAR SA App: Launch the application and tap the “My Account” menu option and then tap “My Settings”. Follow the on-screen instructions to deactivate your account.
