Tasting note

Fresh and expansive on the nose with subtle wood impressions, interplaying with a sherbet of creamy aromas of nettles, bell pepper, figs and white fruit. Crisp, acid-fresh and balanced, with zesty citrus/lime flavours and mineral notes, accented with a pleasantly oaky edge which adds to the complexity. Marvellous intensity and freshness with vibrant flesh and fat on the mid-palate ending with a lift of succulent fruit. An arrestingly vigorous wine with finesse, concentration and flavour depth that will age well.

Recommended food

Serve with shellfish, salmon, light roasts, paté’s, poultry, grilled fish and alfresco dishes; and pasta meals. Also enjoy the wine by itself.


The sémillon component of this wine was matured for 15 months in French oak.

Serving and cellar notes

 Serve this wine cool not chilled, between 17-18ºC. Preferably decant before serving, many white wines benefit from decanting. If kept under optimum storage conditions (below 20ºC) the wine’s fruit will fully emerge with bottle ageing.
