With the cost of living on the rise we’re all looking for a few good ways to save some extra cash. Use these tips to keep spirits high when the cash is running low.
HOME IS WHERE THE PARTY IS
Bring the party to you. If a night on the town is what you crave most, how about becoming the host? It’s always far cheaper to wine and dine at your humble abode than going out to restaurants and bars.
BYOB
Keep in mind that the more people you invite, the more costly things will get.
So BYOB and BYOS (Bring Your Own Booze and Bring Your Own Snacks). Ask each of your mates to bring a plate of snacks or a bottle of something fun to add to the party caboodle.
SUCKER PUNCH
Take a tip from the student collective and make a funky punch. The key to a good punch is experimenting with different combinations - mix together your best booze, add a little something fizzy and toss in some pieces of fruit for good measure.
PARTY CLAIMS
It’s an unwritten rule that any objects left at the party may be claimed by the host. The day-after-the-night-before take all the empty bottles back for the deposits. That way, you’ve got yourself a never-ending party cycle!
