Tequila Silver

Clear and unaged. In other words, plain.

Tequila Gold

Has colourants and flavourants added to it and is used for mixed drinks, like the Margarita!

Tequila Reposado

Golden in colour and the agave and wood notes can be tasted. This one’s aged.

A little bit of heart

Tequila is made from the heart of the blue agave plant known as the piña. It’s called the piña (meaning pineapple), because it looks like a pineapple, just FYI.

Real tequila doesn't contain a worm

The idea that tequila has a worm at the bottom of the bottle is a myth. #Relieved

Mixtos
VS
the real thing

The tequila we usually drink as a shot with salt and a slice of lemon is generally what we call a mixto - a tequila made from 51% fermented agave juice and 49% unflavoured cane spirit.
